Byron Hagler has coached for 28 seasons in the Ozarks, including the past 12 at Springfield's Hillcrest High School, where his final Hornets' team finished 21-5 this spring and fourth in the state in Class 4. He also spent 15 years at Licking High School and one at Climax Springs. Hagler's overall High School Record of 571-188 includes the most victories in Missouri prep baseball coaching history. He was 223-94 at Hillcrest, which included seven Ozark Conference championships and four district titles, and 348-94 at Licking, where his Wildcats captured 13 district titles and two state championshipsHagler has accepted a Position as the Pitching Coach at Drury University.
