The 2nd season begins now as District competition opens up. This week Prepcasts steps out on a limb and tries to better our 72% correct total of last year as we pick the winners of every district, every class. This blog, we feature classes 5 and 3 with other districts later this week or next week, so here goes…
Class 5 –Prepcasts choices as District Champs
District 1: Longhorns of Parkway West culminate a great “turnaround” in 06 with big win over Eureka Wildcats
District 2: McNorth North will defeat Haz East for district crown due balanced offense
District 3: Kirkwood’s nasty defense and no-huddle offense will lead the way
District 4: Camdenton Lakers will repeat as they knock off talented Washington squad
District 5: Lebanon Yellowjackets should coast into next round
District 6: Best DISTRICT OF CLASS 5 HERE—Belton Pirates (5-1), Ray-Pec (5-1), Lee Summit (6-0) are all strong contenders. We stay with defending district champs—Ray Pec Panthers.
District 7: North Kansas City in a district that sees no team with more than 2 wins now.
District 8: Park Hill South will upend Ft Osage Indians to carry home crown.
Class 3 Prepcasts Choices
Dist 1: Dexter to edge New Madrid County for title
Dist 2: Ste. Genevieve will surprise many as they handle Potosi.
Dist 3: Tough call in tight grouping. Miller Academy gets nod over JFK with Cleveland NJOTC (0-5) as one of “watch this sleeper” picks.
Dist 4: MICDS-the legacy continues as they reach championship game
Dist 5: Lutheran North—not as strong as some years but still good
Dist 6: Moberly Spartans (3-3) emerge from close grouping (Bowling Green, Kirksville)
Dist 7: Borgia wins this district over Sullivan

Dist 13: ONE of BEST CLASS 3 DISTRICT- Oak Grove (6-0) hangs onto to push Pleasant Hill (6-0) and Grain Valley (5-1) out of winners circle.
Dist 14: Odessa Bulldogs have an easy time of it.
Dist 15: St Pius X Warriors wins a district with 3 private schools
