our broadcast from Class 4 District 4, 7:00pm held at Ballwin Athletic Association
Field. Get the scores BOTH NIGHTS from Prepcasts!
Some
views of districts …
..in Class 4, Dist 14, Raytown Cardinals (seed #1) have a tough go of it.
They’ll receive a 1st round bye, then play the winner of always solid
Rockhurst (#5)-Raytown South #5) game. The other side of the brackets has
both Blue Springs schools that have demonstrated the ability to knock off
anyone on a given day. Will the host school, Blue Springs South walk away
with the hardware?
…Class 3 Dist 14 seems #1 seed Grain Valley likely facing the host school #2 seeded-Excelsior Springs in a Wednesday night final!
...Class 4, Dist 2 has some real powerhouses. Defending District Champ, Eureka Wildcats (who edged Howell 17-16 last year in a Prepcasts Classic) has Francis Howell, Francis Howell North as the primary competition.
…Class 1, Dist 11 sees N. Shelby as the heavy favorite to win their district crown.
…Class 3, Dist 4 has Herculaneum sitting out front but this very balanced district may provide some upsets!
…the Oran Eagles have stepped up to face far larger schools during the regular season. I’d look for them to advance from Class 1, District 2 with the championship.
… In Class 4, Dist 10, the tightly bunched Jefferson City Jays, Rock Bridge Bruins, Helias Crusadors and Hickman Kewpies should provide real excitement.
…the explosive Whitfield Warriors offense makes them the favorite in Class 2, Dist 5. The seasoned Valley Park Hawks always provide stiff opposition.
…Class 4, Dist 9 should see some great pitching match-ups as the Holt Indians, Troy Trojans, and Ft Zumwalt South Bulldogs all have some quality “aces”!
… After taking two consecutive trips to the final four, the Archie Whirlwinds from Class 1, Dist 13 see some real hurdles, especially Liberal, to jump this year.
…Some
winners that I see in my crystal ball.. Class 4 action—Dist 1 –
Cape Central; Dist 5- Chaminade; Dist 6 - SLUH; Dist 7 - Haz Cen; Dist 11
- Hillcrest; Dist 12 - Joplin.
Class 3—Dist 6 - St Charles; Dist 7 - Duchesne; Dist 8 - Borgia; Dist
12 - Webb City
