I follow the west side, too. I'm going with Harrisonville. Here's why;
Tradition, experience,and know how combine to make a tough playoff opponent.
Nipped by Web City early and the closet game Sedalia had all year, this next game will tell...a rematch with Sedalia - revenge is a cornerstone mark of Harrisonville teams throughout the years. They seem to learn and capitalize from their losses over the years and that's a sign of excellent coaching that adds to their favor.
Harrisonville was a Class 3 team and quite truthfully, I've seen many class 3 teams hand it to both class 4 and 5 teams over the last few years on occassion so I don't believe moving up makes any difference except in closer scores when you get this far along in the playoff's.
This years been a fickle one for the west side for sure, so many teams pulled off some remarkable victories that it made me give up rating them over there this year. The Ozark conference just stuns me.
I'm calling the Rockhurst vs. Blue Springs South game the best game of the year in advance of it, watch I'll be off... Rockhurst is unbelievable but now comes South as if they have found a new life -fact- walloping Blue Springs and seemingly on a mission that makes them look worthy of the task at hand.
At any rate, Harrisonville is a true sleeper team capable of "he could go all the way" play....
That old fashioned, "team" beats talent thing.... the Harrisonville D will have to step up to be the difference maker, they can't count on their offense to win it all for them this time
On Class1 Tipton beat North Shelby 62-0 midseason
North Shelby is a scrappy hard nosed team and it's almost unthinkable that a same sized class 1 team could put a whipping on them like Tipton did...my pick Tipton
Some people have Penny...Orrick is #1 but not until they beat Tipton which I don't believe they can do.... Tipton has an axe to grind this year and they've got it fairly sharp so far...
How about Class 3?
Is this RB at Holden for real? Is Holden for real? Pass happy class over the years missing some old standards that have moved up who used running games in the past to be there time and time again.... there's something about a good RB in class 3 that should make everyone take notice ... I just don't have a clue if he's good, great. or as phenominal as his stats make him look... ???
How about class 5?
Want crazy? You got it... Lebanon As bad as this sounds and as contradictive of what I've said... Sometimes a player can carry a team on his back, the QB here just might...but if it rains and gets sloppy? Which it may, them my pick is whacky and the weather will beat them ... if they had a defense, this wouldn't be a discussion because they'd be tops in the class.... so what I'm saying is the QB will lead the offense in some high scoring victories... weather permitting.
Hazelwood East vs Kirkwood
If the field gets sloppy, East is notorious for looking bad.
I live near Ritenour, I shoot with a Nikon and a 500mm lens..if it's raining out? ... forget about it, I like the dry comfort that I find in my home...
I could get some shots though if not raining.... there's some great talent in this game...
I do sports and have samples but I'm more nature oriented...sue me, wildlife is far harder ...
if you want some stills and need me to key on anyone, I'd be glad to do it ... I could probably get a field pass on my own ... let me know? Unless you got it covered, I'll just do it anyway and send some samples... ???
